We received your letter on Mon. & today, [in] the evg. found a couple of copies of the [Toronto] Globe which I think Mr. Foran [sic]16 sent. Things move on & time takes no account of us. It is four weeks today (tonight) since my calamity came and today I was able to have my new glasses, one pair to wear on the street & another to read & write with, tho. for two or three weeks yet, I will have to wear the goggles over them [on the street]. I will enjoy things much more now. I have not visited any galleries yet except yesterday the picture [gallery] & other parts of the Festival of Empire & it was trying just to take a glimpse & not look more than half the time.
